Is Wicked Davey’s Haunted? Well, that depends on who you ask. The Southern Paranormal Research Society spent the evening there a few weeks ago to investigate and they believe this old juke joint is haunted, as well as other places around Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island.
Even FOX news from Jacksonville, Florida, found this story interesting enough that they too, were on scene for the unveiling of the videos recorded during the SPRS’s overnight investigation where investigator and sensative Reen Fletcher was attacked by a spirit right in front of them.
SearchAmelia interviewed Rita Strugala and Fletcher of SPRS and we will be sharing that interview as well as some of their footage from the events that transpired during their research at Wicked Davey’s in the upcoming days.
Upcoming research may include the Crab Trab, the Palace Saloon and the Florida House Inn. They have also been invited to investigate Crane Island as rumors of spirits abound there, too.
Spooky. Wonder if the Pirates of the Caribbean (not the movie) had something to do with it since they used the Florida waters to hide out from the British.
I believe there are lots of spirits there behind the bar.
I am sure with its colorful history, many things have happened in that building.
