We have published more video footage of the burning boat near Amelia Island, Florida in the Intra coastal waterway over the 4th of July weekend. It was reported that two people from the Cocoa Beach area were on the boat at the time of the incident, but were able to get the boat closer to shore and they both were picked up from the shore when emergency officials arrived. One was treated for burns to the hand and the other was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons. Both are expected to make a full recovery.

The boat was a total loss and this is a terribly depressing way to begin the 4th of July weekend. They, like most who visit our fine community, will forever have special memories of Fernandina Beach.
