Three Civil War Wounds: A Hero, an Irony, and a Love Story is the Amelia Island Museum of History’s presentation for the upcoming 3rd Friday on 3rd Street. This is a monthly event, held on the 3rd Friday of each month featuring a guest speaker and an an exciting and educational topic.
On Friday, July 17th at 5:30PM, Dr. Bill Birdsong will give a brief history describing how gunshot wounds were treated during the Civil War. He will also tell about three famous people injured, Joshua Chamberlain, Albert Sydney Johnston and Jenny Wade.
There is no admission charge for museum members and non-members only pay $5.00.
