I’m going to let you “in” on a few things to do on Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach this third full week of July.
Monday, July 20th brings an important Disaster Planning Event at the Home Depot in Yulee brought to you for FREE by the local Chamber of Commerce, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Monday evening is the monthly Centered Women Meeting, for Ladies Only, at 6:30 PM, at Eileen’s Art & Antiques on Centre Street.
But the biggest event on Monday is my Father’s birthday, “Happy Birthday Daddy!”
Wednesday, July 22 is the Grand Opening of the Goffinsville Park in Nassauville. We had our own”sneak Peek” of the park and the video is on SearchAmelia.com, so take a look at the video for details, a view of the new park and more information. The county should be proud of the great job done on this park!
Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks continues at the Amelia Community Theatre on Cedar Street and this is the Final week for the British Crown Jewels to be on display at the Amelia Island Museum of History.
Saturday is full of things to do including a Beach Towel Throw Down at Main Beach all day, from 11 to 6. Historic American Beach is continuing their Summer Jazz Series with a concert at Burney Park featuring “Instant Groove” from 5 to 8 pm, which leaves you just enough time to get to Central Park on Atlantic Avenue for the evening’s Movie in the Park, Popeye, brought to you by the City of Fernandina Beach.
