Self Storage on A1A
If you want to attract a crowd in a tough economy, you need to build an event that is a success, and that is exactly what Kim and her staff at Amelia Self Storage did last Saturday. The objective was to expose and promote the beautiful new facility, offer customers the opportunity of a climate controlled garage sale and at the same time attract more business for the brand new structure.
The day turned out gorgeous and the contributing participants were ready for a good show. The Nassau County Sheriff’s Department came out with a Drug program called DARE to RESIST and the Agriculture and Fishing department showed in¬†a convincing way that they can control the many waters around us.
Ladder Company 20 showed some impressive equipment and the Nassau Humane Society came out in full force to display some of the cutest puppies alive. Food, beverages, kid’s games and face coloring and not to forget Amelia Massages came out for some strong armed chair massages. That is exactly what you do these days to attract a crowd. Manager Kim and her staff should be complemented with the turn out. More than 30 families put out their wares on this first Annual Open Market, which prompted Kim to state that there would probably more than one event like this a year. The attendance was impressive and through the grapevines we learned that there were quite a few new customer sign ups for the beautiful storage facility.
Kudos for a great marketing idea and an excellent execution of the event. Here are some impressions:
