Becoming a Teacher
In Florida, future teachers that hold a bachelor’s degree will need to attend a teacher certification program and then pass the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE) to get a Professional Florida Educator’s Certificate. After the certification is received, an application must be filled out for an Official Statement of Status of Eligibility. Eligible candidates can apply for available Florida teaching positions.
