Memorable Holidays with Frugal Flair

Okay all of you out there on Amelia Island, the Season of Giving has started and it’s time for you to balance your wallet against possibilities and opportunities. Possibly as a revenge for “convincing” my other SearchAmelians to donate revenues of the sales of the fabulous Holiday book we just published (Celebrate the Holidays in Frugal Flair) to the less fortunate in our community, I was “volunteered” to be Locked Up in this years Women’s Club Fundraiser for Jerry’s kids. Bail has been set at $3,200 and on December 16, I am going to be in Lock Up.

I had to quickly come up with some thoughts and ideas on how to make this jailbird experience short and sweet. Well, here is how you can help Jerry’s Kids in the MDA Lock Up program and benefit hugely from exposure and social interaction.

So far I have conjured up the following options for you to help me avoid incarceration, but mostly help Jerry’s Kids:

1. You can email me you favorite song which I will play for you on guitar (including singing) on a to be determined date in early December at either Indigo Alley on Center Street or Wicked Daveys on 2nd Street.
Donation: $20 per request

2. I will personally prepare and cook for a maximum of 20 lucky people an “Original Indonesian Rice Tafel” consisting of 26 different dishes. Those who have tasted my Indonesian cooking can attest to the superb quality of this experience. The place and date I will let you know. I limit this experience to 20 people maximum and the cost including wine and beer (beer and white wines are preferred because of the spicy nature of the Indonesian Cuisine).
Donation: $55 per person which will go to Jerry’s kids.

3. My expertise within the SearchAmelia team is Social Marketing and Writing. To any business who is prepared to donate $100 per hour, I will advise on website optimization and ranking. 4. For any business, institution or individual with a story, I will offer to write the story and publish it on SearchAmelia’s Business directory for a total charge of $150 donated to Jerry’s kids.
