The Fernandina Farmers Market recently placed second in the nationwide “Love Your Farmers Market” contest sponsored by LocalHarvest and Care2. The Fernandina Farmers Market placed second out of more than 4,000 markets across the nation, and was the only Florida market to place in the Top 25.

Care2 is an online community for healthy and green living, human rights and animal wefare. Plenty of topics are open for discussion such as global warming, women’s rights and there is an abundance of petitions to browse.
