Sometime in the early morning hours the major powerline grid coming onto the island was damaged, assumably by another vehicle cracking a pole in front of Sonny’s Bar BQ. This morning everyone north of Sadler all the way into town is without power, while 3 FPL trucks are working on the repairs. Traffic coming over the bridge onto 8th street is re-routed via the Parkway to 14th St. The Sheriff’s office is directing traffic in the Intersection 14th St and Sadler. Expect delays.
