I was extremely disappointed in Twilight when it came out in theaters. The lighting was off, Edward was wearing too much makeup and they didn’t detail the characters very well at all.
As for New Moon, the lighting was so much better. We could actually see the faces of the characters. See, I personally do no like the choice of Robert Pattinson playing Edward, so when he left for part of the movie, I was not complaining. By the shrieking of the teenaged girls in the audience, it wasn’t hard to tell when Taylor Lautner (Jacob) took his shirt off revealing not only a 6-pack, but an 8-pack!
In New Moon we got to know Bella (played by Kristen Stewart) and Jacob better, they displayed their personalities through actions and showed the viewers that they were not as dull as they were portrayed in Twilight.
I recommend this movie to anyone who has seen Twilight or read the series. Even though Twilight the movie was not as good as Twilight the book, I suggest that you do see Twilight first, and if you haven’t read the books, you should!
New Moon is rated PG-13 for some violence and action scenes. The movie clocks in at 130 minutes.
