Memorial Day weekend is approaching and that means it is time for the 2011 Blue Crab Festival in downtown Palatka, Florida.

A Beauty pageant, seafood, live entertainment, a parade, arts and crafts booths and more are waiting for you on the St. John’s River.

The Blue Crab Festival features arts and crafts from artisans, craftsmen, and shopkeepers who bring a variety of toys, furniture, paintings, pottery, clothes, stained glass jewelry, quilts and more for your shopping pleasure!

Seafood Cookoff kicks off on Saturday May 28th at 10:00 AM, so take your taste buds on a ride and enjoy some of the best seafood chowders and gumbos this festival has to offer!

Some of the Blue Crab festivities include a Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday.
