Local farmers and chefs contribute to fresh and organic cuisine options as Ritz Carlton's Café 4750 kicks off 2014 Amelia Island Restaurant Week
The annual Amelia Island Restaurant Week kicks off this coming Thursday, January 16 at Café 4750 at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island when Amelia Island Chefs and Farmers gather at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island to prepare a Farm-to-Table Feast orchestrated and directed by Executive Chef Thomas Tolxdorf.
Chef Thomas, a true pioneer in the decade old movement to fresh, organic cuisine options and a weekly visitor to Fernandina Beach’s Saturday morning farmers’ market has selected a group of local Chefs/Owners of Amelia Island Restaurants with farmers from the Fernandina Beach Market Place, to officially kick off this year’s Amelia Island Restaurant Week.
Each of the chefs will prepare a tasting in Café 4750. The evening begins with a 6 p.m. wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres and a 6:45 p.m. dinner seating.
