Relay For Life of Fernandina Beach/Yulee is hosting an amazing fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. The 4th Annual Crawl for a Cure will be held in downtown Fernandina Beach on Saturday, November 17, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Crab Trap, 31 North Second Street. This popular event lets you join in the fight against cancer while having a wildly good time. Dust off those old bride’s maid dresses and three piece suits, this year’s theme presents a Red Carpet Affair.
It is overwhelming to think that millions of peoople are diagnosed with cancer each year. Cancer’s reach is so wide it effects each and every one of us is some way. Crawl for a Cure inspires hope by raising funds and awareness to help those fighting the disease. This is your opportunity to honor the cancer survivors in your life, remember friends and family we have lost, and help raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission. All proceeds from this event go to Relay For Life of Fernandina Beach/Yulee and the American Cancer Society.
Your ticket is only $30.00 in advance, or $35.00 the day of the event, and is hosted by eight of Fernandina Beach’s finest local drinking and dining establishments. The walking route begins at The Crab Trap and, in no particular order, includes The Salty Pelican, Green Turtle Tavern, The Secret Alley, Amelia Tavern, Peppers Mexican Restaurant, PJDs, and ends at the famous Palace Saloon. Tickets are available at any of the participating venues and on the lawn next to the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the morning of the event. There will also be prize drawings and souvenir T-shirts available for purchase.
