The Historic District around the First Presbyterian Church Campus will be the Saturday landmark for meeting famous authors on Saturday
With more than 40 authors, novelists and poets physically attending, the Amelia Island Book Festival went of to a great start with workshops at the college in Yulee today. The Reader’s Festival, Café and Marketplace with the opportunities to meet and greet the authors tomorrow, Saturday between 9:00 and 4:30pm, is what really should be fun.
With names like Steve Berry, David Morrell, Paula McLain, Tatjana Soli and David-Matthew Barnes the Book Festival returns to Fernandina’s Historic District primarily set up at the First Presbyterian Church campus. Author chats, panels, and presentations will be offered at various locations on the campus. The Café and Marketplace, where the headliners and featured authors meet and greet the public, will be in Jim Thomas Hall.
This all day Festival is free and open to the public. Here is the day’s program.
Searchamelia is planning some video interviews with several of the authors, in particular David Matthew Barnes (Swimming Chicago), who is residing with us at the Amelia Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast this weekend.
