On a disturbing note, Britt Clinton Moore was one of five people charged on a 17 count indictment for a multi million dollar scam at the Cisco Travel Plaza in Georgia. Moore is the same man who held off authorities for 14 hours in a quiet Fernandina Beach residential neighborhood in March 2009. Our breaking news coverage and video of the event received so much attention we removed the stories from the SearchAmelia Web site in favor of delivering more pleasant news.

Here is an outline of those events and the popular video, just in case you missed the original post:

The Fernandina Beach Police Department sought assistance from the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office on Amelia Island, Florida. SearchAmelia News was able to shoot this exclusive footage of the activity in the neighborhood surrounding the peaceful surrender of Britt Clinton Moore before any other media arrived on the scene.
