Amelia Island, Florida – Amelia Island poet, Nola Perez, will launch her latest book of poetry, Blinded By The Light, May 15, from 5- 7:00 PM at the Fernandina Little Theatre.
The poems were written while the poet was living in Paris from 1990-1994 and are accompanied by color photos from the poet’s own collection.
Perez most recently presented Fernandina and Other Images, a multi-media poetry play in March of 2013. She has participated in the Amelia Island Book Festival on an annual basis. In addition, she coordinates with Marilyn Wesley a Poetry Canteen at Fernandina Little Theatre on the second Tuesday of each month 6:30-7:30PM. The canteen encourages poets, and those interested in poetry to bring a poem to share, one that speaks to them or one they have written.
The book launch and signing will be held at the Fernandina Little Theatre, 1014 Beech Street, is free and open to the public. Readings from the book will be offered by the poet and Ron Kurtz.
