The Waterwheel Art Gallery is happy to announce their next Artist Reception is for Henry von Genk III, on Thursday, March 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
The rich marshes and rolling dunes of the southeastern landscapes as depicted by Henry von Genk have been a favorite at the Waterwheel Art Gallery for many years now and continue to be a favorite amongst our collectors.
Henry’s majestic clouds hang over lush marsh scenes while the salmon colored dunes of our shorelines welcome sunsets memories are made of. These “old master” style paintings are heirloom pieces that will be treasured for generations to come. This reception will feature the large scale panoramic views Henry is so famous for but will include smaller collectors pieces. If you’ve ever dreamed of owning one of these wonderful paintings, now is the time!
Henry Von Genk III was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, where he still resides. His artistic abilities became apparent as early as the age of two years. Henry’s mother, Geraldine, recognized this and inspired her son to keep developing his talents. Therefore, in his mid-forties, Henry is a self taught artist, mastering not only a realistic style, but also his own techniques in shadowing and realism.
After a long and successful career executing murals for museums and clients around the world, Henry focuses on his life-long destiny of fine art. Henry’s work has been published in such magazines as: Architectural Digest, Florida Design, The New Yorker, Palm Beach Life and local publications in Jacksonville. His works can be found in many of the prestigious galleries of the Southeast.
