With the recent announcement of Bonhams' Amelia Island collector car auction next March at the Fernandina Golf Course, the auction house has partnered with Micah's Place.
New York – In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, it is timely to announce Bonhams’ support of Micah’s Place – a non-profit, certified domestic violence center serving the communities of Amelia Island and Nassau County in northeast Florida.
Micah’s Place, with its professional, full-time staff and a support base of nearly 300 dedicated volunteers, offers free emergency services, shelter and assistance to victims of abuse and their families.
With stories of domestic violence perpetrated by professional athletes dominating news headlines in America in recent weeks, this subject has never been more appropriate.
Bonhams is committed to supporting worthy causes and the communities in which it does business. And with the recent announcement of Bonhams’ Amelia Island collector car auction scheduled for next March, at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Golf Course, the premier international auction house is proud to partner with the municipality of Fernandina Beach and Micah’s Place.
This will be an additional automotive event to compliment the offerings of Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island including the RM Auction held at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island March 12, 2015, the Concours d’Elegance Amelia Island held March 13 – 15, 2015, the Gooding and Company held March 13, 2015 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, and the Festivals of Speed held on the property of Omni Amelia Island March 13 – 14, 2015.
