Nassau County, FL – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County will present their 7th Annual Benefit Dinner and Concert at 6 pm on Saturday, January 18 at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. This exciting evening will be the major fund-raising event of the year to support the operations of the two Boys & Girls Clubs in Nassau County. The event features Michael Amante the nationally-acclaimed performer of pop rock, jazz, classical and Broadway music. Dinner provided by the renowned Ritz-Carlton chefs and kitchen, preceded by a cocktail reception, and auction complete an evening not to be missed.
Michael Amante’s career as a singer and actor has made him a favorite of audiences around the world. His recording credits include six albums, with a seventh titled, Here is Love to be released shortly. Michael is well known on and off Broadway for his leading roles in West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease and Li’l Abner as well as in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly, La boheme and Cavalleria Rusticana. His concert performances delight with standards from the Great American Songbook.

The two Nassau County Clubs are built around the same five core areas that inspire daily BGC after-school programs nationally. Every 20 kids have a staff member promoting academics, health & life skills, character & leadership development, the arts, and organized athletics. Some young people today may find after-school to be a time that leads to bad activities and companions. At BGC, kids find a safe and productive environment with highly positive outcomes. The Nassau County Clubs are proud to boast members who usually rank in the top of school classes and record a minimal drop-out rate when they get to high school.
