Second Set of music at the Marina

Join us for the ‘Second Set of music at the Marina.’ The event will be in the parking lot on the side of the Marina Welcome Center. Come out and support the Maritime Museum of Amelia Island, the Preservation of our Public Marina, the Preservation of Public Access to our Water Ways, and Support our Waterfront Businesses and our Local Musicians. Bring the family and some some chairs. Watch a beautiful sunset and mingle with some good folk. All donations will go to the ‘Maritime Museum of Amelia Island.’

All our musicians are volunteering their time and talent! Come see Hup & Ray; The Sean McCarty Band; Tom Leon; Amy Basse; Jim Barcaro; Tony Merz and James M Geiger.

In order for our Historical Marina to stay ‘Public’ it will need our support and our voice.

Southeastern Rib Championship @ Main Beach Fernandina

This fundraiser for the Northeast Florida Advocates for Autism and Related Disabilities will feature the South’s finest pit-masters coming together to see who has the best ribs in the Southeast. There will also be a sanctioned SCA Steak Cook-off on Friday Night. This will also be a great time for the crowd as well as there will be live music Friday night and Saturday, arts and crafts vendors, a beer garden, kids area and of course… AMAZING BBQ!!

Master Gardener Volunteer Ginny Grupe will teach a Landscape Matters class on attracting butterflies to your landscape by planting and maintaining plants which serve as hosts for the larvae. Ginny will discuss important factors in planning your butterfly garden, including host plants, nectar plants, the different stages in the life cycle of butterflies and more!

2019 Fall Book Sale Continues @ Peck Center Gym

The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale will be held November 14-15-16 at the Peck Gym, 510 S. 10th St, Fernandina Beach. Most are priced $3 or less. The Book Sale is open to the public on Friday, November 15 at 9:30am until 6pm and on Saturday, November 16 at 9:30 am until 2pm. Book lovers are asked to bring their own sturdy bags or carts for their purchases and although credit cards are accepted, cash is always appreciated.

Baptist Nassau’s hospital auxiliary is holding a linen and bedding fundraising sale. These are amazingly soft, comfortable, affordable linens, bedding, and blankets. Super soft sheets, bamboo pillows, Sherpa throws, plush blankets, comforters, quilts, and more!

The sale will be held in the conference room, just of the entrance to Baptist Medical Center Nassau on Lime Street, in Fernandina Beach. Friday, January 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. you’ll be able to get some new linens and benefit a great organization.
