On Saturday, November 18th, we will be sportin’ hip MC Hammer pants, dance to Thriller, and befriend a Valley Girl for a GREAT ’cause. This dyno-night is going to include stops at the Crab Trap, the Green Turtle Tavern, Pablo’s, the Palace Saloon, Pajama Dave’s, Amelia Tavern, and the Salty Pelican.

Whoa, don’t get freaked-out, tickets are only $30 in advance and $35.00 at the door. All proceeds benefit Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society.

17th Annual Amelia Island Book Festival @ Variety

The 17th annual, three-day Amelia Island Book Festival, will be held Feb. 15-17, 2018, and will feature New York Times bestselling authors Lee Child, Adriana Trigiani, Karin Slaughter, Jennifer Armentrout and Sherry Rinker. Steve Berry returns as honorary chairman. Proceeds from all festival events, including the Murder Mystery Dinner, benefit the Authors in Schools Literacy Program for students of Nassau County – Connecting students, authors and books for life-long learning.

The Amelia Island Jazz Festival is thrilled to present its seventh annual Big Band Bash Benefit Gala – Dinner/Dance.

Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 7 – 10 PM, at the Omni Resorts Amelia Island Plantation, Florida.

This popular Benefit Gala Dinner/Dance features The Dynamic Les DeMerle 17-piece Orchestra, with vocalist Bonnie Eisele and special guests. Enjoy a sumptuous gourmet dinner, and dance with your sweetheart to Big Band classics featuring tunes by greats like Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and a special tribute to Harry James plus much more!

2018 Crawl for a Cure

Relay For Life of Fernandina Beach/Yulee is hosting an amazing fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. The 4th Annual Crawl for a Cure will be held in downtown Fernandina Beach on Saturday, November 17, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Crab Trap, 31 North Second Street. This popular event lets you join in the fight against cancer while having a wildly good time. Dust off those old bride’s maid dresses and three piece suits, this year’s theme presents a Red Carpet Affair.

Your ticket is only $30.00 in advance or $35.00 the day of the event and is hosted by eight of Fernandina Beach’s finest local drinking and dining establishments. The walking route begins at The Crab Trap and, in no particular order, includes The Salty Pelican, Green Turtle Tavern, The Secret Alley, Amelia Tavern, Peppers Mexican Restaurant, PJDs, and ends at the famous Palace Saloon. Tickets are available at any of the participating venues and on the lawn next to the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the morning of the event. There will also be prize drawings and souvenier T-shirts available for purchase.
