Southeastern Rib Championship @ Main Beach Fernandina

This fundraiser for the Northeast Florida Advocates for Autism and Related Disabilities will feature the South’s finest pit-masters coming together to see who has the best ribs in the Southeast. There will also be a sanctioned SCA Steak Cook-off on Friday Night. This will also be a great time for the crowd as well as there will be live music Friday night and Saturday, arts and crafts vendors, a beer garden, kids area and of course… AMAZING BBQ!!

Cummer Amelia is pleased to announce it will host the very popular and well-attended lecture series,An Afternoon of Art, on the first Tuesdays of January, February and March, 2 to 3 p.m.,at Story & Song Bookstore Bistro, 1430 Park Avenue, in Fernandina Beach. This three-part series will be presented by Dr. Debra Murphy, Professor of Art History at the University of North Florida. She has been the inaugural chair of the Department of Art and Design since 2004.

January 7 – Masterpieces of Art from the Tumultuous Nineteenth Century: From Rococo to Neoclassicism

February 4 – Masterpieces of Art from the Tumultuous Nineteenth Century: Romanticism, Realism and the Beginnings of Modern Art

March 3 – Masterpieces of Art from the Tumultuous Nineteenth Century: Impressionism and the French Academy

Lectures are free of charge to members of Cummer Amelia. There will be a charge of $10 per lecture or $25 for the series of three for non-members.
