Master Gardener Volunteer Ginny Grupe will teach a Landscape Matters class on attracting butterflies to your landscape by planting and maintaining plants which serve as hosts for the larvae. Ginny will discuss important factors in planning your butterfly garden, including host plants, nectar plants, the different stages in the life cycle of butterflies and more!

“Lassoing the Sun” with Times-Union columnist Mark Woods
The title of Mark Woods’s new book comes from an ancient Hawaiian legend about Maui trying to slow down the passing of time by lassoing the sun. You’ll hear Mark talk about why that was important to him as he planned to spend a year visiting some of American’s most spectacular National Parks. Not only is the book about the parks, it’s about family, the legacies we inherit, and the ones we leave behind.
