Chamber Music Festival Events for May 18, 2012Mouth of Amelia has sent word of two Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival events to be held on Friday, May 18, 2012.

At 11:00 AM you can come hear the McDuffie Center Showcase for FREE at the courthouse on Centre Street in historic Fernandina Beach, Florida.

These are young artists from the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, Mercer University in Macon, GA. This concert is always one of the most popular because it features exceptional students who might very well be future headliners at our Festival! The courtroom fills up quickly for these concerts, so the Mouth recommends that you arrive early!

This concert is free and open to the public. An elevator is available to take people to the second floor.

At 7:00 PM, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 801 Atlantic Avenue, is French Impressions: Un Voyage Musical Francais II.

The Linden String Quartet will perform works of Debussy and Saint-Saens in a concert titled French Impressions. Tickets are $30.00 per person.
