Christiania Trio with a Licorice StickChristiania Trio with a Licorice Stick is a lunchtime concert with Julie Coucheron, piano; David Coucheron, violin; Jose Franch Ballester (pictured), clarinet; and Christopher Rex on the cello.

Enjoy the music of Messiaen, Grieg, Verdi, and Beethoven at Café Karibo in historic Fernandina Beach.

Lunch is “on your own” at noon, followed by the 1:00 PM concert. Tickets are only $25.00.

Brother and sister David and Julie Coucheron, along with Chistopher Rex, join Jose Franch Ballester, one of the most promising clarinetists of his generation. In 2008 he received the highly coveted Avery Fisher Career Grant, and in 2007 he was one of a handful of participants selected for a Carnegie Hall Professional Training Workshop with Emmanuel Axe and Richard Stoltzman. He was also named that year as one of the “most prominent and emerging soloists” by the American Symphony League Magazine.
