Peter Mullen will be featured at the Amelia Island Museum of History on Friday, July 20, 2012, as he discusses Civil War Feuds.

This 3rd on 3rd presentation explores the root causes of traditional family feuds, and reviews the histories of feuds in both the North and South. This event will focus on selected notorious feuds throughout Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, and Georgia.

Editor’s note: As I am kin to the McCoy side of the infamous Hatfield and McCoy feud on my mother’s side of the family, this sounds like a fascinating discussion!

This picture of Andrew Jackson Poole (Circa 1860’s) is of one of my grandfathers on my father’s side of the family; I’m just not sure how many times to use the word “great” in front of the title Grandfather.

Beginning at 6:00 at the museum, located at 3rd and Cedar Streets in historic Fernandina Beach, Florida, this event is free for museum members and a suggested donation of $10.00 for nonmembers.
