Nassau County, FL – Volunteers are needed for this ground-breaking, research-proven Life Skills Program offered to middle school students by Communities in Schools.
If you have the skills and experience to facilitate small group workshops working with kids between the ages of 11 and 14, this could be a perfect opportunity for you to volunteer right here in your community.
You will receive free training and lifelong skills that you can share to help our youth make healthy choices. You will also receive a certification that you can use for other groups.
Job Description: Life Skills trainers will facilitate discussions around important life topics with small groups of middle-school youth. You will work with the same groups each week. All necessary training and curriculum is provided, and you will be partnered with another trainer.
Time Commitment: 1 hour per week for 15 weeks, plus 2 days of training. Program will be held before school in Callahan and Hilliard, and after school in Fernandina Beach and Yulee. Days and times vary by location.
Requirements: You must be 21 years of age, apply and pass a background check prior to training, and complete two days of training.
Training is January 14th and 15th, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (If you are unable to attend but would still like to participate, please call (904)321-2000 for arrangements.)
