Council on Aging Has New Executive DirectorFernandina Beach, FL – The Board of Directors for the Council on Aging of Nassau is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas H. Moss, III as its new Executive Director. His extensive experience in the military and the private sector will benefit COA as he leads the Agency during this critical time as it grows to meet the ever expanding needs of Nassau County elder population.

Mr. Moss holds a BA in Sociology and an MBA from The University of Connecticut. His distinguished military career includes assignments as a Squadron Commander at Dover Air Force Base, the Pentagon and overseas. He also held a Professorship and managed the Athletic Department at the US Air Force Academy. Tom’s experience includes financial management of a continuing-care retirement community as well as overall management of a local assisted living facility.

“The COA feels extremely fortunate to have found such a personable and qualified candidate to lead the organization forward,” said Jan Carver, President of the Board.

The Council on Aging is a 501-c-3 non-profit agency, the highest level of charitable organization. They cheerfully deliver critical services to Nassau County seniors in five categories including Meals on Wheels, COA Transportation, In-Home Care, and Adult Day Health Care, while operating two Senior Recreation Centers.
