Fernandina Beach, FL – The Council on Aging Adult Day HealthCare seniors spent a lovely Amelia Island fall day making scarecrows with Fernandina Beach High School students recently.

Ace Hardware, located in Fernandina Beach, donated the hay for the scarecrow project. The high school students worked hard to create two scarecrows and shared stories with the seniors about scarecrows and Halloween.

They also learned that scarecrows have been in existence in farmer’s fields for more than 3,000 years!
