Council on Aging Offers Adopt a Senior Program
Nassau County, FL – The Holiday Season is approaching and the Council on Aging of Nassau County needs your financial support. We are the only organization in the county to provides needy Seniors with vital services such as “Meals on Wheels”, In-Home Services, Emergency Alert Response Systems (EARS), Senior Activity Centers, Adult Day Healthcare, and Transportation.
Unfortunately, the combination of rising costs and reduced governmental assistance has forced many of our Seniors into desperate circumstances. Our waiting lists continue to grow for all essential services we provide.
Only the generous contributions we receive from contributors in the community will make the difference in the lives of this often overlooked, and not so fortunate population segment.
There are a number of ways you can help us to help the Seniors in our county. We offer an Adopt-A-Senior Program in which you could identify a particular service and fund a senior through monthly contributions.
In order to sustain services, we also accept one-time donations or continuing contributions on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.
Please visit coanassau.com/donate/donor-form to make an online donation. Be sure to indicate if your gift is monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual. Below are the impacts your contributions could make to the Seniors in our county.
Here is an idea of what your donation will help provide:
- $25.00 provides 1 week worth of meals to homebound senior
$50.00 provides 3 hours of in-home respite care for a deserving senior
$100.00 will give 8 seniors an additional hour of assistance with bathing, laundry, or general housekeeping.

$1,000.00 pays for 6 months of in-home assistance to take care of daily living activities

“GIVING is a BENEFIT to BOTH the GIVER and the RECEIVER.”
During this time of year, please also consider giving a gift in honor or memory of a loved one.
The Council on Aging appreciates your donation and they are grateful to be part of such a caring community. “Our sincere wishes to you and your family for a joyous Holiday Season!”
