8:00 pm ACT's I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

In a series of vignettes, this modern musical comedy presents the American mating game, beginning with dating, and moving on to marriage, in-laws, and children.

Our talented cast of eight play over 40 characters, such as the couple on a blind date, the perennial bridesmaid, the obsessive new parents, and strangers who discover that funerals can be a good place to find love.

The cast includes three actors who have appeared on the ACT stage previously – Jonathan Leonard (Grease), Jennifer Paulk (Hair), and Marcus Rau (The 25th Annual Putnam Co. Spelling Bee). Elizabeth Bricknell, Sara Austen Muir, plus real-life married couple, Carol and Walker Davis, and their son, Ben Davis, are making their ACT debut.

An alternate title for this musical comedy is “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws, but were afraid to admit.” The show does have adult content and humor.

When I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change premiered in 1995, a woman in the audience shouted out, “This is my life.” The cast knew then they were on to something special!

Can the events be for a fee.  We have art workshops but they are not free although open to anyone who wished to attend and pay the fee.  These are nationally known instructors and  do not come for free.

  7. Ameliaprivateeye

    Hi Sandra,
Events that are one day events are perfect for the calendar, and of course multiple day festivals, even if there is a fee or admission price. If the event/class is multiple days a press release is encouraged, and we publish those for free, too. (Sometimes we will put them in the calendar AND publish the press release information.) If you have any other questions about SearchAmelia, you can email me directly at Judie@SearchAmelia.com

  8. Aspasia the Promulgator

Hi guys, and happy holidays to you and yours. For the month of December, the location for the Fernandina Pirates Club blood drive has been changed to the Journey Church parking lot.

  9. JudieMackie

Thanks! I adjusted the calendar and added it to the Pirate facebook page, too!
