5:30 pm Sunsations, an Art Show

The Plantation Artists’ Guild & Gallery will host an opening reception for its new spring/summer show “Sunsations” at 5:30pm on Friday, May 15. Prior show paintings are replaced with new offerings every three months keeping things fresh.

Regular gallery hours are 9:30am to 1pm on Tuesdays, 11am to 5pm Wednesdays – Fridays, and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.

4:00 pm 2015 Coastal Crusaders Beach Clean Up

Surf Asylum and Waxhead Sun Defense Foods have joined forces to organize the inaugural Coastal Crusaders Beach Clean Up, a grassroots effort to remove litter from our beaches, starting right here on Amelia Island. They will provide shady tents, ice cold water and raffle prizes. All volunteers are welcome, so invite your friends, neighbors and family.

Please bring your own environment-friendly tools: buckets, work gloves, biodegradable bags and reusable water bottles. Together we will make a difference for our beautiful coasts everywhere.

    Can the events be for a fee.  We have art workshops but they are not free although open to anyone who wished to attend and pay the fee.  These are nationally known instructors and  do not come for free.

    Events that are one day events are perfect for the calendar, and of course multiple day festivals, even if there is a fee or admission price. If the event/class is multiple days a press release is encouraged, and we publish those for free, too. (Sometimes we will put them in the calendar AND publish the press release information.)
