6:00 pm Carvalho's Journey

Friends of the Library is sponsoring a screening of “Carvalho’s Journey” on August 25 with an optional dinner to follow at Café Karibo.

The year was 1853 when one of America’s first photographers, signed on to photograph a journey across the West. The crew faced disasters like deep snow, wild fires, and starvation. Watch the film and be a part of the journey.

The screening will be held August 25 at 6 pm at the Fernandina Beach Branch Library Community Room. An optional dinner will follow at 7:45 pm at Café Karibo. Free tickets for the film, and dinner reservations, are now available at the Library.

    Can the events be for a fee.  We have art workshops but they are not free although open to anyone who wished to attend and pay the fee.  These are nationally known instructors and  do not come for free.

    Events that are one day events are perfect for the calendar, and of course multiple day festivals, even if there is a fee or admission price. If the event/class is multiple days a press release is encouraged, and we publish those for free, too. (Sometimes we will put them in the calendar AND publish the press release information.)
