The Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival’s 16th Annual Season will be headlined with a live performance on February 6, 2017 by Grammy and Emmy Award-winning violinist, Itzhak Perlman. The festival features guest artists of national and international stature, together with the finest musicians from the southeastern United States, in programs of traditional classical music, light classics, and music reflecting America’s roots.

7:30 pm ALKY at AMP

For one night only, the drama students from West Nassau High School present, ALKY, written by Jerome McDonough.

The performance is directed by Martha Garvin, presented by Nassau Alcohol Crime Drug Abatement Coalition (NACDAC), and produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

Students of West Nassau High School want to relay an excellent message to our community. Hosted by the Amelia Musical Playhouse, 1955 Island Walkway in Fernandina Beach, show time is 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and can be purchased at ameliamusicalplayhouse.com, at the box office or by phoning (904) 277-3455. Proceeds from the production benefit NACDAC.

  6. Can the events be for a fee.  We have art workshops but they are not free although open to anyone who wished to attend and pay the fee.  These are nationally known instructors and  do not come for free.

    Events that are one day events are perfect for the calendar, and of course multiple day festivals, even if there is a fee or admission price. If the event/class is multiple days a press release is encouraged, and we publish those for free, too. (Sometimes we will put them in the calendar AND publish the press release information.)
