Exhibit Your Art at Shrimp FestivalThe application deadline to exhibit your art at the 52nd Annual Island of Eight Flags Arts and Crafts Show is January 31, 2015.

Applications to have your arts and crafts on display at the 52nd Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival are now being accepted.

This show is an annual juried event and is consistently rated by “Sunshine Artist Magazine” in the top 100 North America best events. The street festival features fine arts and crafts, antiques, live entertainment, Blessing of the shrimp boat fleet, pirate invasions, family friendly contests, a Kids Fun Zone and of course, lots and lots of shrimp! This is an excellent atmosphere to exhibit and sell your work. Over 135, 000 visitors are expected for the 2-day art show.

All accepted artists are eligible for prize money. A panel of judges will review the entire show and select which artist’s work is eligible for the prizes. Categories include oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media and pastels, fiber art, drawing and print making, glass, pottery, photography, metal, jewelry, wood, and creative crafts (Baskets, floral, shell art etc.) Best in Show receives $2,500, First Place $1,200, Second Place $800, Third Place $500, and each individual category will have a Judge’s Choice Award of $300.00.

The dates of the art show are Saturday, May 2nd, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday May 3rd, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
