Fernandina Celebrates Arbor Day 2014Fernandina Beach will be celebrating Arbor Day and 12 years as Tree City USA at the Petanque Courts at the Amelia River Waterfront Park.

Festivities include a pot-luck lunch, live music, petanque games and a Treasured Tree Trolly Tour that has already sold out.

The fun is this Sunday, April 27, 2014, with a tree planting scheduled for 1:00 pm.

Arbor Day is a day for people and organizations to encourage planting and saving trees. The date Arbor Day is observed changes in different climates due to the planting season.
