The Market Place feels more like a family reunion bringing together familiar faces, the spirit of community and delicious foods.
Under the picturesque canopy of budding oaks and Spanish moss, shoppers in historic, downtown Fernandina Beach will find nearly 40 booths of locally-grown and locally-produced organic, homemade and natural products. The Market Place feels more like a family reunion bringing together familiar faces, the spirit of community and delicious foods.
One vendor is Natural Springs, a small, family owned dairy farm. Their farmstead cheese flavors include gouda, white cheddar, black pepper and their popular jalapeno cheddar. Raw milk sold as pet food, and raw whey are also available.
Evil Seed Sauce Company has been building a steady, Amelia Island fan base of their delightfully evil products. Using Datil peppers from St. Augustine, it doesn’t take much of their Shake Down powder to spice up burgers, chicken, chops or well, just about anything; and if you are crazy enough to try it, come to the market and taste a sample of their Asylum Hot Sauce!
This will be Karen Miller’s 2nd Saturday at the Market Place and she will have Apple pies and Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Pies. They are $20.00, plus a $5 deposit on the glass pie dish. If you want to order a special fruit pie or have us save you one at the Market Place, call Karen at (904) 614-7279.
There will be live music on February 16, 2013 and CLUB 14 FITNESS will be the featured Business of the Week with BodyFlow, Zumba Fitness and BodyCombat demonstrations.
As a special treat, the Seventh Street Gallery will be open during Market Place hours featuring two CoRK Arts District Artists Helen Cowart and Joanelle Mulrain.
