Amelia Island SunSplash is a party on the beach! June 5th enjoy a FREE reggae concert at Seaside Park in Fernandina.
Amelia Island SunSplash will be the biggest parties on the beach! June 5th, July 3rd, Aug 7th and Sept 4th there will be FREE reggae concerts on the sand at the Sadler Road beach access in Fernandina Beach, also known as Seaside Park.
The Amelia Island Sunsplash is sponsored by Pipeline Surf Shop, the City of Fernandina Beach, Caribbean Breeze and many others. They have pooled resources to provide you a full day of family fun in the sun and entertainment on the beach from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
June 5th Schedule:
7:00 AM – Join us for the beach cleanup with Keep Nassau Beautiful
8:00 AM – Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) surf contest, First Coast Florida District
11:00 AM – Sandcastle contest by Beach Rentals and More
Face Painting by Sliders
Volleyball sign-ups by Half Time Sports Bar & Grill
1:00 PM – Spirit Dub Government reggae band
Slip and Slide and Ping Pong by Pipeline Surf Shop
1:00 – 7:00 PM – Open 4-on-4 beach volleyball
2:00 PM – Swimwear fashion show
3:30 PM – ESA contest awards
4:00 PM – Jah Creation live in concert
There will be FREE activities for the kids of all ages! Some of the events include beach volleyball, a kid’s sandcastle contest, ping-pong and a slip and slide. There will also be free give-aways by Quicksilver, Spy Optics, Sanuk, Caribbean Breeze and much more.
Beach access for vehicles will be closed from 5:00 AM until 10:00 PM for this event, but there is FREE parking at K-Mart on Sadler Road. You can walk from there or catch the SunSplash Shuttle for a minimal fee. Alcohol is prohibited at this event and Fernandina’s Finest will be patrolling the beach, so keep it family-friendly. Sliders will be open for cocktails so drink responsibly and be considerate of others, especially children.

There are Pirates who will be modeling “pirate” swim attire at SunSplash. Do you have any bloomers or corsets or anything else that could resemble pirate swimwear?
I'm sure we could come up with something for “pirate swimwear” if there are any still searching… Thanks for asking!
