The farmers market features fresh baked breads, seasonal produce, meat, dairy and more.
There are five Saturdays in February this leap year and the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market will be open for every one of them. Located on North Seventh Street, between Centre and Alachua Streets, this farmers market features fresh baked breads, seasonal produce, meat, eggs, dairy, and every other part of the food pyramid. We are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine, and well behaved leashed pets are welcome.
Backyard Buffalo is returning to the market this week with cow and buffalo yogurts, dips, and granola, and Sweet Peach is returning with their amazing cup cakes. Also returning this week is Dave and his Dave’s Rub a Dub Dub spices. This dry rub comes in original, Mighty Mild, Dittle Datil, and Happy Habenero. These booths are in addition to your weekly favorites like Cross Creek Honey, The Garlic Man and his garlic infused vinegars, and Chesser Seafood’s wild caught, local shrimp.
Our Booth with a Cause is the Book Island Festival. They will be answering your questions about the upcoming festival slated for Feb. 13 – 15, 2020, and they will be handing out informational cards showing celebrity authors who are coming including their honorary chair David Baldacci. They will also be promoting the events they host such as the Authors in Schools Literacy Program.
