Forever Fit Fitness Challenge
Forever Fit Fitness Challenge

Just because the Forever Fit Fitness Challenge at Club 14 Fitness has officially come to an end, why stop now? You have already tackled the hardest part. If you keep going, you will experience even more impressive results, unless you stray off course. And all too often, that’s what happens. People are going along great, then they quit.

So, you ask, “How do I stay on course?” Focus on progress, not perfection. One surefire way to stay on track is to measure your progress; you can, every day, by keeping a journal or fitness log. Set short-term, attainable goals and reward yourself when you achieve them. Every eight to 12 weeks, raise the bar and set new challenges.

Keep your exercise exciting, switch it up often and try new things. Perhaps join a gym or look into personal training. If you’ve been walking, maybe invest in a pedometer. Take a dance class or join a volleyball team; whatever you need to do to keep the boredom from setting in.

And for goodness sake, don’t beat yourself up if you miss your normal workout. Rather, resolve to do something physical every day. There are other things you can do that will keep you in the game. Taking the dog for a walk, yard work, or any kind of activity where you are moving is better than nothing.

If you’ve gotten this far, you’ve already promised yourself not to quit. Treat this promise as a vow. Be passionate, and you will keep it. Remember, this is not a quick fix but a permanent lifestyle change. And above all else, believe in yourself!
