tom-christenson-mark-cutshawSharing the exciting news of the grand opening of the new Humane Society facility located next to the airport on Amelia Island, Tom Christenson, Executive Director of the Nassau Humane Society, was recently featured as the guest speaker for the Rotary Club of Amelia Island Sunrise.

Rotary club members learned about the features of the new building and all the services the Humane Society provides to city and county residents.

Rotarians actively volunteer throughout their communities and the club was pleased to learn about the strength of the volunteer network at the Humane Society.

The new facility enables the Humane Society to continue its mission, dedicated to the humane treatment of all animals; to alleviate their suffering and neglect, to support the human-animal bond, and to foster an environment in which people respect all living creatures.
