I Am More Campaign Seeks Participants For PSA Video

NACDAC is looking for Nassau County residents who are willing to share their stories of living with mental illness for our next video in the series.

You are not your illness. That is the message of NACDAC’s “#IamMore-Reduce the Stigma” campaign which brings awareness and seeks to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.

You are more than your illness.

NACDAC has been working with documentary filmmaker, Stan Cottle, along with members of the community who are currently living with mental illness to produce a series of public service announcements acknowledging that people do not have to be defined by their mental illness.

NACDAC has created two videos: one 30 second video which is being played at the movie theatre and other outlets and a 90 second video that is played on our social media outlets.

The short version can be viewed at https://youtu.be/_RFsulw8vzUc.
The longer version can be viewed at https://youtu.be/_c2K08mMNcW0.

NACDAC is looking for Nassau County residents who are willing to share their stories of living with mental illness for our next video in the series. We would also like to interview family members and/or friends for the video as well.
