Into the Woods is a highly acclaimed musical that looks at fairy tales like those two new TV shows, Once upon a Time and Grimm.
Into the Woods is a highly acclaimed musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. This sophisticated look at fairy tales is very much in keeping with the popularity of such new TV shows as Once upon a Time and Grimm. It’s also going to be made into a film. The spellbinding, Tony Award–winning play, transports us to an enchanted world rich with romance, laughter, and unexpected consequences. Familiar fairy tales get a new twist as we learn what happens after “happily ever after.” It’s a visual and musical delight that lingers long after the storybooks close. Don’t miss it!
Directed by Jill Dillingham, Jayne Jeney is Producer and Jackie Eaton is Stage Manager. Carey Dresser, director of last season’s highly successful Cabaret, will be playing the Wolf and also serving as choreographer. The set is a work of art, designed and hand-painted by Artist Alan Robertson and a team of painters over a period of nine months, a true labor of love!
