The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens presents Spooktacular, October 21 thru 24, and 28-31, 2010. The gates open at 6:30pm. This year’s theme is the “Lands of Enchantment.”
Drag out your best costumes and the kids for a safe family-oriented celebration of Halloween. Last year over 35,000 visitors came to partake in the festivities, free candy, and spooky fun.
The Lands of Enchantment includes:
• Pumpkin Patch
• The Fairgrounds with bounce houses and a giant inflatable slide
• Dia de los Muertos celebration in Range of the Jaguar
• The Enchanted Forest
• Wonderland Trail
• Pirates Cove
• Halloween music
• Hundreds of jack o’lanterns
• Select animal exhibits
• Candy stations throughout the Zoo
• New this year: Scare Zones! The Tomb, Ghostly Garden and The Forest of No Return (not recommended for children under 10)
Spooktacular is the Zoo’s largest fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens and going to the care and feeding of the animals.
