Jax Boldest is a regional contest developed to identify the best company, non-profit organization and project of 2011 in the Greater Jacksonville Area.
The Contest was designed as a contribution to a PR project called Innovate North East Florida, that identified a PR perception problem for the region; the region is critically in need of an image overhaul, especially in the areas of creativity and innovation.
The project is facilitated by a team of national consultants, and they found that we have many great stories about the JAX region, however, as a community, we are not sharing them. We are surrounded by creators and innovators who are making our part of the world an even better place, but we are not perceived as an innovative community.
So in order to change that perception, the contest is all about celebrating creativity and innovation and is seeking all entries for the best company, non-profit organization and project from 2011. What is your favorite new thing in greater Jacksonville (and that includes Nassau County)? JAX represents our region as a whole, as our region’s airport code identifier. This contest has the potential for national and even international attention and using JAX in the name will help those outside of our region to better recognize us.
Between now and March 31, the community can submit entries in the form of a video, picture or written summary and vote on www.jaxboldest.com. Those submitting their ideas are encouraged to be as creative as possible with a special note that a video may receive substantially more attention from voters than just a written summary. You can visit the website for greater detail about the categories and prizes. Participants can create an account where they can submit entries and vote on submissions.
The organizing organizations look forward to all of your great entries and announcing the winners at a launch event on April 19!
