Just curious… What does a Grand Master do in a Shrimp Festival? Id there still shrimp trolling going on In Amelia Island? I love Shrimp… I mean camar√≥n. I got a Shrimp recipe (French) that I bet can compete with any shrimp dish you guys in Amelia Island can come up with…

I'll post it later. Gotta run and make my Shrimp dish now!

tommylee- The Grand Marshall of the Shrimp Festival parade is the honored dignatry for our weekend long festival to let everyone know that Amelia Island is the Birthplace of the modern shrimping industry. After the Festival in the first part of May The local shrimpers will be actively trolling for shrimp off of our beautiful coast. I dont know if their is anything better to eat than local fresh caught shrimp purchased from friends right off of the boat. UM UM UM . You need to submit your recipe to Searchamelia so they can post it if they think it is worthy. Good Luck!!

Hey Ameliadude. You live in a shrimping community and you may know how shrimp is caught these days and in the old days. I have kind of an idea about that but I don't live in a shrimping community and as such billions of other people do neither. Please explain to me what is “the modern shrimping technique” that you base this festival on?

I bet you that thousands of other Search Amelia visitors would love to know… Maybe you can pass this on to the Grand master himself so he can do the honors!
