Fernandina Beach Market Place honors the American Farmer each Saturday at the farmers market in historic, downtown Fernandina Beach, Florida. The Market Place, held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM year round on N. 7th Street, provides the community with a location to purchase healthy fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meats, cheese, jams, breads and more directly from farmers and small business owners in and around Nassau County and NE Florida.

Not all farmers are the same. A crop farmer grows fruits, vegetables and grains while a livestock farmer will raise poultry, cows, pigs or goats, and the horticulture farmer brings a variety of flowers and other plants to the market.

Farmers till the land, plant and feed their the crops, care for animals, repair barns and pens, and work long hours to make sure you have access to a fresh supply of food for your family. Come meet the farmers who come to the Fernandina Beach Market Place; they love to talk about their businesses!

December 1st includes all of your regular, favorite vendors plus a new holiday exhibit of hand-made wreaths. Entertainment will be provided by the Fernandina Beach Middle School Band Students and you can learn everything you want to know about local non-profit, Amelia Island Parent Cooperative Preschool. Parade for Paws is this Saturday as well, and the Market Place welcomes your leashed and well behaved pets.
