Nassau County, FL – On Wednesday, December 6, 2011, Micah’s Place Board of Director’s held their meeting at PLaE Restaurant and welcomed three new board members, Eric Corbett, Adrienne Dessy and Ashley Flick.

Also at the meeting, Marilyn Evans Jones conducted the swearing in of the new officers for FY 2012: President Sandy Shaw, President Elect Muriel Creamer, Vice President Carol Higginbotham, Secretary Don Hughes, Treasurer Tony Quattrochi, Development Chair Tip Fisher and Past President and Member at Large Elaine Coats.

Micah’s Place is a Certified Domestic Violence Center and the only one serving Nassau County, Florida. The mission is to provide prevention and intervention services to victims of domestic violence and to provide education within the community to affect change in behavior and attitudes relating to domestic violence. Micah’s Place offers safe, confidential shelter, advocacy, a 24-hour toll-free hotline, counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups to victims of domestic violence.
