Amelia Arts Academy presents the second performance of its 2009-2010 Sunday Musicale Series. Sunday, January 17th, concertgoers will enjoy a toe-tapping performance of Claude Bolling’s Suite for Flute and Jazz Trio at an spectacular home on Piney Island.The Bolling Suite for Flute & Jazz Trio spent 10 Years on the Billboard ranking, and is now brought to you by performers from Amelia Arts Academy’s Board of Directors and Staff. Claude Bolling was heralded as the first “crossover artist”. In the Bolling Suite he blends jazz with Baroque music to create a truly unique and entertaining musical piece. Performers include Pegge Ealum, Amelia Arts Academy Executive Director, on flute; Jane Lindberg, president of Amelia Arts Academy’s Board of Directors, on piano; Ernie Ealum, Academy faculty member, on bass; and special guest Darrin Ronan on percussion.
The performance is to be held at a stunning private home on Piney Island, with a reception catered by Cafe Karibo. Tickets are $40 and available at the Golf Club of Amelia Island at Summer Beach, at Amelia Arts Academy, online at MyCommunityTickets.com, or by calling (904)277-1225. Due to the intimate setting, seating is limited. Advanced ticket purchases are highly recommended. Concert address will be released to ticket holders only.
