The Holiday Celebration is Friday night at the Spa and Shops with fun activities for your family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Omni 2010 Holiday CelebrationThe Annual Holiday Celebration is Friday night at the Spa and Shops at Omni Amelia Island Plantation and there are plenty of fun activities to enjoy with your family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Guests and locals alike can enjoy the annual Holiday Celebration at the new Omni Amelia Island Plantation to start the holiday season. This event will feature live entertainment, horse and carriage rides, carousel and train rides, pictures with Santa Claus, and the lighting of a 35-foot Christmas tree along with holiday food and drinks.

Entry for the Celebration is free and open to the public. For those over five, tickets to enjoy the rides, crafts or food and beverage are $2 each and can be purchased in Resort To Home, Harrison’s Mercantile or the Signature Shop.

Special appearances will be made by:

    Paul Eckert, General Manager of Omni Amelia Island Plantation
    Jody Mackle, Program Director for Take Stock in Children
    Amber Stevens, Child Representative of Take Stock in Children who will light the tree; 7th grade student from Yulee Middle School
    Nick Volpitta, Child Representative of Take Stock in Children who will light the tree; 9th grade student from Fernandina Beach High School

There will also be:

    Old fashioned carolers singing from 5:45-6:15
    Santa Claus arrives by fire truck at 6:15
    Child from Take Stock in Children lights the Christmas tree at 6:30
    Children riding the carousel and families enjoying horse and carriage rides
    Holiday stilt walkers mingle around The Shops

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the local mentoring and scholarship program, Take Stock in Children, while children can donate toys made in Santa’s Workshop to the Adopt-a-Family program through the Nassau County Volunteer Center.
