Parking and Street Closure Notice for 49th Shrimp FestivalPublic Notice: EFFECTIVE FOR THE WEEK OF SHRIMP FESTIVAL
The following street and parking lot closures will be effective this week in order to set up for the 49th Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival:

City Waterfront Parking Lot B will be closed from Midnight, Wednesday, May 2nd until Midnight, Sunday, May 6th.

City Waterfront Parking Lots A, C, and D and the Library Parking Lot will be closed to unauthorized vehicles from Midnight, Thursday, May 3rd until Midnight, Sunday, May 6th.

Beginning at 5:00 PM Friday, May 4th, there will be NO PARKING on the streets and public parking lots of the downtown Centre Street Business District (bordered by Ash St. and Alachua St. from 8th Street to the Waterfront). This area will remain closed to parking until Midnight, Sunday, May 6th, in order to finish clean up and street sweeping.

Signs will be posted throughout the downtown area and unauthorized cars will be towed.

Editors note: They are not kidding about this… you WILL BE TOWED if you park in an unauthorized location.
