Shrimp Festival 2013 Gets Off to Great StartAfternoon rains didn’t stop the 50th Annual Isle of Eight Flags celebrations on Friday night!

While a few remaining clouds sprinkled festival goers in the evening, by dark the rains had ended and the festive traditions stayed right on time. The swapping of the stage and food court parking lots at the waterfront didn’t appear to cause any problems, however, leaving the area after the fireworks was a bit crowded to tho the new, gated, crowd control. I’m guessing the fenced area is required due to the sales of alcohol now available inside the festival grounds.
