Reminder Friends of the Library Book SaleThis is your reminder to purchase books, CDs, DVDs, videos, games, puzzles and more for a great cause. Twice a year these Book Sales supply roughly 60% of the funds we donate annually to the Fernandina Beach Library. Your donation truly counts!

It’s easy, too. There’s a drop box right outside The Peck Center (at the Head Start entrance on 11th Street), where you can leave smaller donations anytime. If you have a lot of items to donate, head during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, to the HVAC room off the main hallway in the Peck Recreation Center, 516 S. 10th St. Turn right, and the room is on the left, just past the stairwell. Look for a sign on the door.

Bargains, bargains, bargains! If you love books, you’ll want to take advantage of the Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Peck Recreation Center, 516 South 10th Street. Choose from books, audio books, magazines, videos, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, children’s books, games, and puzzles—with prices ranging from $.25 to $3 for most items. If you feel like splurging, get there early to examine specially priced first editions and other special collections.

Members of Friends of the Library may attend the special members-only preview sale on Thursday, November 4, 5–7 p.m. (if you’re not a member yet, just sign up at the door or at the Fernandina Beach Library beforehand). The sale opens to the public on Friday, November 5, 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m., and continues on Saturday, November 6, 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m., with fire-sale markdowns early Saturday afternoon. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Fernandina Beach Library, so you’ll be getting great deals and supporting a good cause
